Mijas Masters 2022 - The Plan

Date: Thursday 15th September 2022 – Tuesday 20th September 2022

Location: Malaga, Spain

Group Size: 12 (3 x 4 balls maximum)

Rules: Stableford – All handicaps to be set by playing a round with one of the founding members in the month leading up to the trip.

Entry Fee’s: £50 for the whole competition

Format

Depart Manchester Airport on Thursday AM for a mid-afternoon arrival at Malaga. Minibus will collect us and deliver us to our accommodation within 40 mins.

First day will be a chance to unpack and get settled in our tranquil villa before heading out for a social and some food.

Day two starts with breakfast and more relaxing in the morning in and around the pool, with our first round played in the afternoon followed by drinks and tapas. Return to the Villa for a rest, clean and a change before heading out for dinner.

Day three starts with a early tee off to avoid the heat followed by Lunch on the terrace with some drinks, before returning to the villa for more relaxing. A later start to the evening at one of the more decedent restaurants ends the day.

Day four is our rest day. People are free to explore the local area, sit, chill or do as they please. A leisurely breakfast followed by a buffet lunch in the villa before an evening outing to a local restaurant caps the end of the one fully relaxed day of the trip.

Day five – The final. A unrushed breakfast followed by a mid-morning tee off starts the final day. After the last round is completed, the scores are added up and after a late lunch the winner is declared and the prize awarded. The group picture is taken before heading back to the villa for some packing, drinking and frivolities. The last dinner is preceded by drinks and the awards ceremony.

Day six is the transition back to reality after some extremely good fun. Flights depart late morning for arrival back into Manchester by late afternoon and back to our family by tea time.

costs

The cost of the trip cost is £1,550 per person all inclusive. 

A rough breakdown follows:

Flights: £290 pp return including a 10kg carry on bag, lounge access and fast passes (more for checked luggage)

Transfers and Taxi’s including delivery to and from the airport in the UK and Spain as well as shuttling us around whilst out there: £80 pp

Accommodation: £390 pp

Green Fee’s: £210 pp

Competition Fee: £50 pp

Club Hire, Balls & Tee’s: £65 pp

Food and Drink (inc tips): £470 pp (all meals and drinks)

A non-refundable deposit of £300 will be payable to secure a place which will allow organisation and securing of flights, accommodation and facilities before the trip, with the remaining balance due one month before the trip. 

All costs mentioned above will be paid for by a founding member during the trip and any underspends will be carried over in the prize pot for future trips. 

Some additional expenses you may wish to consider: 1. Day 2 Return COVID19 Travel Tests (if still required at that stage) £60, 2. Travel Insurance (Single Trip – £11), 3. Spending money for presents and snacks.

The cost also includes a contribution to the maintenance all of the awards and presentation trophies for all trips. 

Each starter pack will include clothing embroidered with the year in which you first attended Los Dos Pinos and packs and designs will be available for all to purchase from the website.
